Formed in the Summer of 2007, the Gainesville Community Jazz Band is a 17 piece jazz band that plays a wide range of big band styles such as traditional swing, dance, latin, and contemporary jazz. The members of the GCJB represent different career fields such as band directors, banking specialists, and church ministry. The musicians have a deep passion for jazz and a commitment to presenting quality performances to the Gainesville area. The band has performed for retirement centers, the local Juneteenth festival, and some of the area schools.

Concert Update

The concert is coming along quite well. We will be playing some tunes by jazz greats such as Nat Adderley, Pat Metheny, Buddy Rich, and Doc Severson just to name a few. Come on out on Sunday June 19 at 4:00 at Grace UMC in Gainesville
